Designed specifically to lower bandwidth usage, accelerate download times of static, dynamic and graphic web site content, and prevent redundant access to database resources. TurboIIS 2003 is designed to work with the isolated work processes of IIS 6 and is capable of downsampling images, for a drastic increase in website speed for even graphics-heavy sites. Requested web content gets generated by IIS (or found in TurboCache), compressed by TurboIIS, saved in the TurboCache, (complete seek less than 3 milliseconds) sent to the user's PC, and automatically decompressed by the browser, invisibly to the user. There is no need for any plug-ins, software or hardware on the user-end. TurboIIS exploits hardware resources that are underused by web servers: considering that the bottleneck lies not in server performance but in the "last mile" of the Internet connection, it increases transmission quality without additional costs, and can postpone hardware upgrades, as the IIS Server will now be able to handle more requests. The dynamic control of compression level means that TurboIIS will never overload the server processor and can always give the best rate of available compression. TurboIIS uses a pre-analysis system to prevent the compression of non-compressible files, and can be configured not to compress files as a function of name, mime type, browser, and content. Compression of any type of dynamic content generated by scripting engines such as ASP, JSP, PHP, Perl, Cold Fusion, and including chunked data. It also optimizes html coding. This is the Windows 32-bit build of Apache HTTP Server. Please note that at this time, Windows support is entirely experimental, and the program is recommended only for experienced users. The Apache Group does not guarantee that this software will work as documented, or even at all. Apache on NT has not yet been optimized for performance--Apache still performs best and is most reliable on Unix platforms. However, Apache 1.3.6 is designed to run on Windows NT 4.0. (Note that the binary installer will only work with Intel processors.) Apache may also run on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 3.5.1, but these have not been tested. In all cases TCP/IP networking must be installed. If you run this on Windows 95, the Winsock2 upgrade is recommended but may not be necessary. If you run it on NT 4.0, installing Service Pack 2 is recommended....
