Why would anyone buy apple products in the yearOctober 19, 2021, 4:05 pm Why would anyone buy apple products in the year 2021 Accessibility unfortunately Im invested into the iPhone line of products. If I could easily switch all my data, notes, calendars, et al to an Android, Id be interested in at least trying it out. But to my knowledge I cant so I wont. But I also dont update to each new iteration, either. Excuse my ignorance, but whats Apple done now? Did you scoff and push your glasses up your nose when you said this some ppl (not me) want the really tight smarthome integration with homekit as well as interoperability between desktop and handhelds, but specifically for me, as an audio engineer and producer, it`s the horror of the possibility of having to deal with *shudder* Windows audio I`ve never used one because an Apple phone has never been free with my plan. I had to replace my phone and it was the cheapest option available. It`s just that every other company overwhelms me with choice. MacBooks are easy. Do you want Silver or Space Grey? Do you want a 256 GB or 512 GB hard disk? Do you want 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM? Do you want it in the 13-inch or 15-inch size? Do you want two or four Thunderbolt ports? But, but... $19 Polishing Cloth! Compatible with all Apple displays! ... I will never understand it. At this point? Buying computer pieces due to nfts and crypto has made the process of making your own pc irritating, on top of the process already being annoying if windows didn`t need so much maintenance all the time & wasn`t so slow to start, i`d 100% prefer it. But as much as I hate it, apple just seem to work better when they do work. But when they don`t, ooft! As for phones, unless someone else pays for it, i won`t be getting iphone Right? Like if I want 3 year old tech and a predatory operating system I`ll buy a used 2018 laptop and subscribe to adobe I already own one, I have difficulties finding small enough devices in general (mine is an iPhone SE 2016), and backup options are not cross-platform. When this one goes, I will probably get a newer SE, maybe regenerated or something - it`s bigger, but it still fits my hand. I thought you meant good made out of apples and I was about to say that they are tasty. I need coffee. Familiarity. I cant be bothered adapting to something else at this point I actually prefer the look of Android and the battery life is waaaaay better. I`m ADHD, so I think if I was really *into* tinkering with the phone, then I`d probably love it, but I`m not so I just want it to work. Design, its pretty much the standard in my industry. I cannot stand Windows. All my devices work seamlessly together, and even reconditioned they last for years. Im still using a 2012 MacBook Pro Counterpoint: I recently swapped from iPhone to Samsung. As a result, I`m more frustrated with technology than I have ever been. Very clunky, apps don`t play well with others, and it`s SO. DAMN. S L O W. I see plenty of good reasons here, simplicity, already knowing it and not wanting to learn something new, ecosystem, I`m just hella surprised there actually aren`t any attacks that I can see They`re just getting more and more inconvenient in favour of small features. That aside, I prefer ios computers for work, but I`m unwilling to get iPhones and have to buy special everything for them as I lose stuff and would prefer to use my money elsewhere Because it`s fall and I want sweet seasonal stuff beyond pumpkin spi--oh, whoops. Do you want to know how from Washington I am? Because I was like, but cider is good. I didn`t and wouldn`t but work sent me a Core i9 MBP. My mechanical keyboard doesn`t quite work right with it. The only thing I like is the screen. I still haven`t figured out touchbar, and I just heard it`s being removed. It took me forever to learn how to broadcast sound effectively. A few devices made for ios were crucial and there is no way Im learning how to do that all over again. I am too tired to learn something new. I dont like change, ok? They connect seamlessly via Bluetooth to my sons cochlear implants, allowing him to stream sound right to his processors. Because they`re a healthy fruit? apparently iphones have hardware encryption and androids don`t? And that`s apparently objectively better if you care about security. But I don`t know enough about it to comment much. If this is rhetorical, Ill agree with you and say they shouldnt! However if this is a genuinely curious question, I purchased my much cheaper SE in cash because I need the excellent camera in order to run my small business from home because I cant afford an actual camera. Main reason is they already have all your stuff + sunk cost fallacy. Only just now not getting Apple even though I hate them literally coz they had all my stuff which makes leaving/doing other stuff awful My mom didnt want to learn a new OS. Shes 60+ Lack of MDM tools for Linux is what I hear. I don`t use Apple products, but reasons I could think of might be better user experience and better "out of the box" accessibility options Oh yes. - Im fully bought into the ecosystem already and well used to it (cant stand Windows) - makes it easy to manage the devices for the whole family (~15 devices) - cross-device (watch-iPhone-Mac) continuity is v useful - my experience has been lower support burden No, you`re right and you should say it Im confused but also havent bought any new tech in like 5 years so I probably deserve to be confused The only apple I ever purchase is the fruit. :) I`m gonna get attacked just for asking this question aren`t I |
