Why do people share when they buy an iPhone but rarely do when they buy a Samsung?
Honestly, Ive tried every phone on the market. Samsung Note was my daily driver but I always went back to the iPhone- never wanted to be caught up in eco-system, but the TRUTH is the iPhone just works. It works perfectly in comparison to any other phone on the market.
Its a technology comfort blanket. Its no longer innovative. Want shiny new technology? ...go elsewhere.
You don`t share when you`re taking a ride in a Reya Vaya bus however you share when you`re in a Qatar first class flight

1000 dollars for such a toy in the USA is not very big money. But there are countries where people live on that kind of money for a month .. There it is an accessory ..
Probably because the ecosystem in the iPhone is cooler. but Samsung in terms of features is also not inferior
Simple. People buy iPhones for status. Not for feature. Which is what Steve Jobs created with his innovative marketing strategies. Which attracts a certain kind of people.

Its got more of a status to it. Apples brand is cooler than Samsungs. Like it or not, most people share things for the perception it builds around them. See: curated Instagram feeds showing perfect lives. Same show.

I have a Nokia 7 plus but where Nokia used to have a social status now it`s just another phone. iPhone buyers even though they might know they are overpaying for a phone need social reasurace that they are "rich". Like fake designer label clothes.

I think its because of the yearly release. Samsung release too many phones a year. if people need to post buying a samsung they need to do every month.
They buy Apples for flexing and as a fashion statement while Samsung doesn`t attract this crowd but instead attracts people that just want a fast and functional phone.

Would you share "I just bought this A02s for 75$"? Most of Samsung sales are low to mid-range models, which are just fine, but won`t be something people share or talk about with friends. iPhone on the other hand is not only a flagship phone, but for many also a fashion statement.

Ipoo users need to brag about their phones to keep them relevant. Android users just get on and work. The world knows what android can do, the minority know what ipoo can`t.
Freedom. One category will buy to fulfill their needs/desires and won`t need to tell anybody. The other one will buy to `fit` in the society and have to seek social validation. This is true no matter the brand or item.

There is nothing to show off anymore. It`s been the same phone for years. But they don`t care, people still eat it up.
Coz they feel fit in! Apple didnt create a culture but instead, it inserted itself in ppls cultures. All Apples ads are about the people, how Apple devices blend in with ppls way of life, not the other way around. Apple is genius at that and consistent.
Apple and Samsung both make powerful, well designed, quality phones. It feels like every year, there`s less and less between them. I think the difference is, for the layman, iPhone is still the most recognisable brand name, while also being top tier in most departments
Imma keep it all the way as a ex android user. Its a piece of tech that will be enjoyable for years. Where as a android phone is here for a good time not a long time. You have way less iPhones over the years then androids so means more my 2 cents Apple has always had a cultish following. To Samsung buyers its just a phone. But to the techies? It has always been Apple and it always will be. That said, I do not appreciate my phone telling me to stop playing my music so loud and when to go to bed. Its turned into my mom.

As iOS and Android user, I believe its hesitation. People tend to think that having iPhones means rich and having android is just normal, so you feel hesitated to flex your android phone than your iPhone
