Where were you when UI peaked? iPhoto for iOSJuly 3, 2022, 5:49 pm Where were you when UI peaked? iPhoto for iOS (2012) This is the epitome of skeuomorphism I was in the early 90s when it peaked with Kais Power Tools, that iOS stuff is just a rehash Preparing for the end of the world in 2012 so glad thats gone I completely agree the peak was 2012- its just not been as fun since iOS 7 and Yosemite made life more sensible. This was so obscenely slow on my ageing iPhone 4 back in the day! BRING BACK APERTURE How can they remove these many features ! Editing a portion of the image is a Game changer and it should be available in every multitouch displays, I wish all these features came back!! To see a painting in your mind to see the many colors that you will need the drawing of visual picture to paint . To see around your picture what`s in the background to let your painting come to life . WOW! Where did this all go... I loved that, I used to edit a lot of photos in my 4S, man and when they said they were going to merge it with the photos app, I knew it wouldnt be the same. The only thing remaining pretty much the same I prefer 2005 when Mac OS X Tiger was released. Afterwards? Meh. UI-wise, that is. I freaking loved iPhoto. I was so sad when it was taken down. All stuff already seen years bevor in Kais Photo Soap, Goo etc. I miss textures in UIs! Man, this app was so good! I really wish we had those brushes back. I was there just two weeks ago, watching the iPhoto for iPad introduction and thinking "Damn, that`s intuitive!". I absolutely loved this app at the time Why this app disappeared Wow this was a really powerful program! The only aspect where iPhoto loses to Photos was not offering synchronization with the Mac version, while we had more iOS apps coming to the Mac and syncing to their respective mobile versions. It was going on the opposite direction than the rest of the ecosystem, unfortunately. Oh that is glorious- dont recall this one. There is also a wwdc talk about their decisions, I loved it, and shortly after they dropped the flatland bomb. The Photos App was a Downgrade compared to iPhoto with iOS 8. iPhoto shows the resolution of the Picture, Photos first with iOS 15! I have a few Devices with iPhoto. An iPhone 4s with iOS 6 or the iPhone 4 with iOS 7. My Dream is, an iPad 4 with iOS 6, Retina in big! Death to the Skeuomorphism, long life to the minimalism Was this real? I miss that UI and those features. It was a crime to kill it. Also the wwdc talk on that UI was great. |
