When will you be able to buy games viaJuly 6, 2022, 1:22 am When will you be able to buy games via the app... That`d be nice, right? Been asking the same thing. Seen a lot of people blame the Fortnite/Apple case...but then why would it affect Android and why does Playstation have an app store? You used to. I never understood why they took that away. I`d probably buy more games there too. Most of the games I buy on PS are though the app when I`m not even home. Blame Apple. The original app was so much better even when it was buggy as hell. You used to be able to do so much more. Stripped so much off the current one. True but we may not have to wait as long as initially expected I am guessing on the percentage because that`s what Google and Apple normally charges. But Google does charges for monetary transactions of the apps from the Google Store. Probably not any time soon at least. I definitely miss that being a thing, but I dont think MSFT wants to give Apple or Google a cut of all of those sales any more. Thats mind blowing haha. Plus I find it weird you can buy games@of the website even though Ive used it back in the day. It just seems strange haha Likely never. The issue is Google and Apple have an issue with you creating stores to buy anything inside of their ecosystem that bypasses their own stores. Part of the reason Micosoft joined Epic against Apple I think Google charges for that and Microsoft probably doesn`t want that. Imagine Google charging 30% for third party games (or 15% with an agreement). That`s like half or all the revenue Microsoft gets from the games. Can you really not do that? I always assumed you could. Mind blown |
