No it`s for individual apps, apps in the background can use the ram too you know. I do think the cap should be removed tho
or maybe it`s for multiple apps
It will probably be used with iPadOS 15 (Xcode, Fcpx) so it`s just for future proofing
Hopefully ios 15 will unleash the power of the m1 with some pro grade apps
I mean iPadOS 15 is coming in a week, they probably felt it unnecessary to create a patch to do that when its coming soon

Sounds like glitch. What`s the point of 16gb ram on an ipad anyway. Most people just buy it for media consumption.
iOS has strict RAM limits, and they can get pretty annoying. I don`t see why Apple can`t squeeze a little more RAM in iPhones and increase the limit, so that memory is used better.
