Trying to decide which version of FFVI to play and it`s unreal how dirty they did that game on iOS
yes horrible. luckily its also on the mini SNES
it really is ridiculous the work you gotta do to play that game these days. the iOS/steam one is the foulest sin
PS1 version still sells new copies for $20 ish. Same for 1-2 and 4/chrono trigger. I had this same struggle a few months back! The IOS/Android/PC ports just felt too woefully ugly. I settled for the GBA version in the end (I bought a tooled up back-lit GBA specifically to play it)

RN I`m playing FFVII on the Switch, first time, and never touched a PS1, but I saw comparisons with the original version and the way the Switch blurs the backgrounds and the polygonal characters are smooth instead of pixelated makes it look worse IMO.
The only viable option today is on Steam with mods. It sucks. I wanted to enjoy it when they announced it for PC, but it got swept away for a quick buck.
is there a patch to the GBA one that restores the colors and music? if not, then the SNES re-translated patch.

Just give me an option to revert those visuals to the SNES version or better yet just change them back entirely. You can undo this grave, grave mistake
