Toshiba announces $279.99 ChromeBook with 13.3-inch displayJanuary 8, 2014, 6:21 pm ChromeBooks are gaining a lot of consumer attention lately, and slowly but steadily one after the other computer manufacturers release more ChromeOS notebooks than ever before.Toshiba is the latest manufacturer to announce not just a "me-too" ChromeBook, but the first 13.3-inch Chromebook, at the 2014 CES Show in Las Vegas. The Toshiba Chromebook will come with the new Intel Haswell processors, which provide very fast boot times and promise up to 9 hours of battery life. The new notebook will have a 13.3-inch TruBrite HD display with a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution, and will weight a mere 1.49Kg. There will be 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage along with an additional 100GB of Google Drive. There will be also Bluetooth 4, HDMI, two USB 3.0 ports, along with 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi. The best part though is the price: Toshiba will sell the new ChromeBook for $279.99 when it will be released on February the 16th. |
