There`s been some confusion about how the Tweetbot 6January 28, 2021, 12:33 am Theres been some confusion about how the Tweetbot 6 subscriptions work. If you subscribe to either option youll get a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime before that and Apple will not charge you. For more info, go here: No confusion at all. Is this subscription available across all devices? I can`t seem to get it on my iPad. Is TB6 going to stay at iOS14+? I just ask because I use an iPad to read my tweets at the end of the day, and its stuck on iOS 12. Hi guys, can we not just purchase it outright? Does my older app stay untouched? Thanks. No family sharing of the Tweetbot 6 subscription? Going through the replies, realizing I bought v5, and even use it, because theres nothing wrong with the official app lol Please please please provide a one and done lifetime subscription option. Supported you guys for years, no more I paid, even if I just keep using the previous version! Glad to support a great product. Does Tweetbot 6 show polls and complete threads? Or will I keep having to open the tweets in the official app to see those? Maybe shouldnt have made a subscription model. Just saying. More than willing to pay $6 a year to yall. Hope this helps yall maintain a sustainable business model. I dont like subscriptions but then thought: This is the best way to use Twitter (for me) $6/year = stabilized future for app updates Tweetbot doesnt hold my tweets hostage if my subscription lapses, unlike high-rent apps where I lose access to my content Ok Is there a page on your site that actually has INFORMATION about why I might want the upgrade? $10 to buy it? Whats the expected cycle until yall drop Tweetbot 7, 3 years? How about $15 to buy it. Get yalls cash upfront and let those people who do not do subscriptions continue enjoying tweetbot. i think i found a bug. where should i report it? I really hate the subscription model, but maybe thats because I have always been willing to buy software. But for at six bucks a year, happily subscribed. The amount of whining over USD$6. We have no issue paying that for a cup of coffee, but when an app wants to make money, NOOOOO. Support these small devs. No confusion, youre charging for notifications. Android when I see a lot of complaints about subscriptions. I was one of them but I get it now. Think about it.if/when they release Tweetbot 7, 8, and so on it will likely be at the same price per iteration. Youre paying for a service thats run by 2 people. Its not as bad as it seems. Just gonna jump into the replies here to say the annual subscription is fifty cents per month. Fifty cents. For an entire month. You want exceptional software? Pay for it. I was very against this but decided to try it. In the end after spending a day with other clients to see if I could move away, I decided I liked Tweetbot better and $5.99 a year was ok. That said, you should consider giving a year`s sub to ppl who recently paid for version 5. Does your subscription support family sharing in iOS 14? Will this subscription cover an eventual Mac app as well? So now I have to subscribe and my payment for the paid app was a waste of money. What a scam. Sad to see yet another great app unable to sustain itself without the neofeudal SaaS model. The AppStore effectively ruined the software market. I for one will not be needing a trial. The app looks great guys A life time sub would be great... Can you point me to a list of the enhancements in v6 vs v5? Im not happy about this at all! Please offer a lifetime license option Thank goodness I still have Tweetbot 5 on my iPhone for after my trial is up! If I stay with the current version will I have to worry about subscriptions or am I safe to continue using Tweetbot as I have been? Still, a subscription? No thanks. Booooooo subscriptions And if you force me to pay for the app Ive been using for years that I absolutely love, I wont be supporting you guys at all anymore. And what about the Mac version that I JUST BOUGHT AGAIN LAST MONTH?! Im not even sure what the subscription features are. not confused, just tired of being a sucker. Sadly, just a slight UI refresh is not worth the price to me Highly disappointing to hear supported you guys since the beginning now its going to be a yearly charge to use your app? Is the old version of Tweetbot going to continue working? Ive bought every version of Tweetbot since v1 and I seriously object to subscription models (everyones, not just yours!) Yall listening to live? Why you guys make paid updates? Make it free for those who already bought your app. I did it twice with Tweetbot 3 and 5 and now you want me to pay again. Its the same app, hello. Any plans to update the macOS app and tie it into the same subscription that covers the iOS/iPadOS apps? Is there a bug though? I subscribed on iPhone, also upgraded on iPad but the IPad version wont let me post, and I get an error message when I try and manage/subscribe on iPad. App is showing as subscribed in settings on iPad Theres no confusion about that, the confusion is why youre now forcing to subscribe to it to use all of its features when you never did before. Why in the world would I choose to do that when the Tweetbot Im using now works perfectly fine? Why would anyone cancel? Best Twitter app by far When all the features for Tweetbot 6 will be translated to the Mac Version? Any plans to just update it to make it an universal app under the same sub? Any chance a subscription-compatible version of Tweetbot for Mac is in the works? |
