It`s exciting that @Microsoft is adding Android apps toJune 25, 2021, 7:32 pm Its exciting that is adding Android apps to Windows - presuming they work well. But Im curious whether anyone knows how extensive the Amazon Android store is compared to Googles. Is there a big difference? Does anyone know for sure? Are they adding Android support via Amazon? it`s not that important by the way, since user can sideload apk files. Apps that require Google services may be a bigger problem. It`s been a long, long time since it was easy to create a compelling Android app without using Google Play Services. Those APIs are everywhere. Android should be fought, not embraced. It is cr*p with sprinkles on top Actually, Amazon android store is extremely poor compared to Google`s. Maybe this union will shake it a bit. Hard to get excited when Android apps on Chrome OS have been meh. It didn`t really work for BlackBerry 10 when they tried so I`m interested to see them not make the same mistake. Thankfully they`re much bigger. The limitation isnt just availability of apps 1.) Often apps on AMZN are older version that GOOG 2.) Other Android Apps that may require Google Play Services and other Android code services will not work properly. 3.) Apps where you Sing in with Google, might trouble They just want mobile games to come to their laptops/desktops right? How many more users does Candy Crush have over Apex Legends? The rest of the apps already have the option to be a great PWA experience via the open web. |
