The idea of deadbydaylight bringing back legacy prestige is always controversial. Day 1 console players never had a shot. PCers with legacy mega grinded for it. Would it be fair to let people buy 1 full outfit of legacy prestige for every 3 levels of devotion? Thoughts?
I think that instead of bringing the legacy back they should make a new one, updating the texture so you could see the difference between the old and the new, also in the locker you could chose the color of the legacy, maybe red purple green ecc..
Well I play console so obviously I never had a shot to get them. But if I could Ill be happy and If I dont its alright theres a lot of stuff still around and a lot of stuff coming so yeah
I think it`s totally fine if the PC player`s don`t get a chance to get this Item. I don`t have legacy either, because I didn`t played the game since then. But for consoles... There needs to be something.. If crossprogression is added, it`s a whole lot different
I think there should be another way to earn them for other players especially for console players that never had a shot in the first place. A lot of people made a big deal about the event cosmetics being available to everyone and i feel most kind of accepted it and moved on
To be fair it doesn`t matter what bhvr will do since most people of this community are unthankfully af. I had legacy 1 for Dwight and Jake and lost it due the safe file bug. Never got it back. But at the end it`s just a skin. People should be open and kind towards each other.

Nah, keep Legacy where it`s at. As a person who knew about DBD back in those days but was finally able to get it around 2018 on console, I personally wouldn`t want that. Those cosmetics represent the 2016 players of DBD who were here from the beginning.

What about giving other platforms their own Legacy with their own platform color? So, Xbox = green Legacy, PlayStation = blue Legacy, etc. That way PC Legacy keeps its value.
Anyone should be able to earn it. Most players who play the game for countless hours are already grinding. If that person puts the time in, they should be able to earn it. This exclusive club you aren`t invited cus we better than you attitude just sucks balls.

Ive had an idea for so long that you can choose a special skin for one character in the game and it would be like legacies but for just one character (killer or survivor)
To me its cosmetics in a game its not something to go nutty for. Unless its a charity skin that was meant to raise awareness like Blizzards pink mercy skin dun really care
imo they need to make something like in gwent, there when you preorder you have a skin and when you buy later you have a reskin for that so no one will feel sad about it or at least less ppl

3 Devotion is fair for 1 piece. I did the grind for 3 pieces back in 2016 and I would be okay with opening up a way for people to earn Legacy again. Nice idea Paulie!

Personally I think its a great idea I play the game on the PS4 & started the game the moment it was released on console. Took a break from it 4 a while & came back later 2 try playing again. So I think this definitely should happen but the price of it in shards should be priced. I would love to see it come back for more characters tbh. I always loved the idea of more prestige types and some for specific characters

what about having a limited time event where they bring back the old bloodwebs for each character that were released at the time and if you prestige that bloodweb you unlock that legacy piece for whichever character you prestige this way.

Respect your OG players, any game, ever. I don`t think it`s okay to bring something back just because people are jealous. I see it as a thank you for the players sticking with the game for so long. Some cosmetics are released on special occasions, you can live without them.

What about giving variants of legacy that only legacy player`s get so players that never had a chance to get it,can get the normal 1 or make a new legacy skin that is different from the original but not something that changes the skin entirely.

I want something special upon reaching each new devotion level (or whatever level), but legacy isn`t it, it should stay how it is, reserved for those who showed care and support towards the game when it was an infant and grinded the game when it was the hardest.

I think that the Legacy is no longer what it once was, in my opinion it would be a nice idea, as the other cosmetics have given away with a little more effort, the Legacy could give. As you said, console players might have a chance too and it would be fairer for everyone.

I would say. Make it different from the original version of the legacy because it was supposed to be a reward for the dedicated audience of that time. I don`t have any legacy outfits or pieces and I`m fine with that. But I would want a new type of reward for us, the new fans.
i dont get why they wouldnt just add a different color for other consoles? green = xbox, ps4 = blue? the original legacy should not be touched imo but i wouldnt mind a recolor for others in exchange for devotion like you said .-. I actually really like this idea, and it doesn`t even have to be legacy skins. I would love gold weapons for killers or gold item skins for survivors. I`m totally fine with that if they don`t want to bring legacy back.

I really like the idea of having it tied to devotion and have wished for the same thing. This is a game I really wanted to play as soon as I learned about it but never could because I don`t own a gaming PC. I understand it was a huge grind but so was the Howling Grounds stuff

If they do make it so 3 devotion levels would be 1 piece, I`d support it if instead of having the golden glow, would be light blue like frost eyes, that way it is a reward you earn and legacy players keep their very hard earned cosmetics

People need to learn to accept change. People buy characters for example and then they get balance changes . Cant get mad at that the game evolves. I personally would rather see all prestige rewards changed to an overlay so you could add it to any skin

Im one of the OGs of console playing (like day one PS4 release) and I dont think think it should come back. Ive been watching people play since beta and they worked their asses off with huge blood webs to get it and they deserve it.

Using Devotion levels to obtain Legacy Prestige should be a good way to show players who`ve put a lot of time into DbD. There`s plenty of old timers who don`t really have anything to show for it. If this is something they do, they`d need to give other Killers/Survivors, Legacy.
i think after devotion 20 maybe 25 or 30 you should be able to unlock them in the certain survivors web after 50 3 prestige ofc

Keep legacy for the OG players, make a legacy-type skin for some of the other original survivors/killers (Doc/Feng/Ace/Hag/David/Huntress) that you can redeem with devotion levels. Coming from a day 1 console player
I don`t think Legacy should of be back out for people to get, atleast originals, could make new legacies instead. But I feel we should have some form of Devotion rewards other than shards, I dont think Legacy is the right thing for it tho.

I think that would be a cool way to do it. Another version of this idea I that could work would be adding 3 more levels of prestige to go through. 1-3 blood 4-6 legacy. Though, I`d also like the ability to add blood to any skin you have for a character. Not just default skins.

They don`t let skins be exclusive, yet people earned them in the rift. I say the hell with it and let this happen for all the new killers.
Yes, legacy must be really hard to get for us (console players) but we should have the chance to get them.
At the end of the day it`s a cosmetic item you never had to pay anything for. Your skill should show off how much you`ve played the game not wether or not your pants glow.

Honestly I`d dump the legacy idea and make new crowns as reward for high devotion, like the one from 4th anniversary just in different styles. Buuut I`ve seen a lot of people dislike the crown so thats just my opinion, I really like it.
I think that is a great idea, but the players would mostly complain "oh i spend so much hours to get legacy and now everyone can have it?" So how about giving legacy, but just for the characters that doesnt have legacy? Like Kate, Plague, Deathslinger etc?

To me it`s not really about devotion. It`s the "OG`s" (I`m an edgelord for saying "OG" now) that kind of...made it possible for DBD to be what it is today. Without the original players, I don`t think the game would still be thriving today. So those that have it, deserve it.

While I like the idea of Legacy Prestige skins making some sort of return, I feel it would rub so many players who actually own the skins the wrong way. I do like the idea of Devotion giving some sort of reward however.
I should clarify on what I said about earning my legacy. I had Legacy on all the survivors except for Nea, and every killer. I lost that legacy due to a save file bug (like many people). While it`d be nice to get it back, I know the work involved to earn it, so no giving it away.
What about bringing that old web system back as an extra feature, the legacy prestige webs? After you p3 any character with legacy, you can choose to prestige again, but for legacy items. The grind of 1-50 will be the same as the old webs were, to make it fair like before?
I`ve also always thought it`d be cool if there were other similar outfits, for example if you play 1000 games as one survivor or killer you get some special outfit to show that off. Or maybe make prestige/legacy a thing you can apply on top of other cosmetics.
I think maybe if they created new skins for the original characters. That didnt look like legacy but were a variant of the default, that still looked good. That would be better as a devotion reward, and you could get a piece for each devolution level instead.

Change it to 25 Devo. Require the Survivor/Killer to be P3-50 (Maybe have all associated achievements with them too?) Than you can buy one outfit for 1M BP, 500K Shards and 2K Auric. I think that`s enough barriers.
I get how people would be upset about making legacy available to newer players. However I think its a shame some people who have legacy never play the game now. I think every 5 devotions, you can purchase a legacy outfit for shards. Just my opinion.

I would be absolutely cool with people that lost legacy (legitimate of course) getting it somehow but... I feel like it would be absolutely wrong to give all players the opportunity to get it. If they were able to somehow track their first P3, IDK.
Legacy doesn`t need to belong to everyone. Besides, we have Hallowed Blight outfits. It`s basically budget Legacy.
I find it hilarious we cant have stats because the people who played before won`t have there full stats and then legacy can`t be added for new players because that too will not be fair boohoohooo there were way less characters back in the day weren`t there?
