The ease that Visual Basic 6/7 designed frontend appsOctober 16, 2021, 11:22 pm The ease that Visual Basic 6/7 designed frontend apps was closer to "right" than anything since then. Yes, this is why I hate ios and Android app development. Omg, I LOVED VB6. GUI dev was SO quick. Was not my first language, but the first one I made money from. My 10 key typing tutor made bank! (Like a couple hundred bucks ) Any luck? I know there had been efforts, but I couldnt find any current traces of Tk-ish iOS projects. I wish PySide was that replacement. For some reason this made me nostalgic for TCL/Tk, which I think has the same qualities for GUIs from code. Still there is nothing better like VB6 :) no argument, mostly continuing to try to will things into existence This one still makes me mad. Writing a simple GUI for an iOS app would take 5 to 10 minutes if VB6 for iOS existed instead of ... ya. |
