Some nice alternatives to Lingq (I`ll focus mainly on Japanese). Many have a nicer UX (since less confusing) but are underrated. [Disclaimer: I am not related to any of the devs] (Thread )

On Android: Typhon and Jade Reader Ebook readers for Japanese with integrated pop-up dictionary. Typhon has Anki-integration (you can save the words to an Anki deck). Two (of many) apps I miss in iOS.

def rec them! they also have tons of free classics to read as well iirc

Have you found nice content on Beelinguapp? I`ve found the content to be a bit childish or boring. I really like Satori Reader for the stories, but wondering what other content is on Beelinguapp specific to Japanese

Feel free to add more to this list :) From those above, I prefer ManabiReader and Beelingueapp because I like their experience the most.

Beelingueapp (13 lang, e.g. JAP, FR, ES): read-along audio book + Flashcards (only for Pro & Gold users) Free / Pro 3.99/month / Gold 5.99/month iOS/Android

(any language): make flashcards from anything on the web $5/month Web

(JAP): Paste text from any website or read via Browser extension, export to Anki/CSV $10/month Web/Chrome extension

(JAP): Pre-made content with audio Free Web

Japanese Graded Readers (JAP): Pre-made stories with audio, no study system 2.29-4.49/Story iOS/Android

ManabiReader (JAP, my fav): Content from the web (NHK, Reddit) + audio + import anything from an URL + system to look-up and study unknown words 0.99/month with student discount (I dont see what it costs for others right now, I guess it was around 3-4/month) iOS

Satori Reader (JAP): Pre-made content (stories, dialogs) + audio + system to look-up & study unknown words 9.49/month iOS/Android + Web
