Samsung to release new Chromebook with Exynos 5420 processor

Samsung€™s Chromebook is one of the most popular ChromeOS-based notebooks and in the top list of a number of online retailers. Not pleased to rest on its laurels though, Samsung is reportedly prepping the successor to its popular Chromebook for the year 2014.
According to a Business Korea report, Samsung will release a new, improved spec`d Chrome OS notebook sometime in 2014.
The report claims Samsung€™s coming next-gen Chromebook will come with an Exynos 5420 octa-core processor augmented by 3GB of RAM, a Mali-T628 GPU, and 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage. The new ChromeBook will feature a display €œof 12 inches or less€ but with a much higher resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, while its battery will power the device of approximately 7 hours.
We have no information as to when the Korean company will bring out the new ChromeBook, and Samsung itself has denied any plans of unveiling any new notebooks during the coming CES 2014.
Given that the Series 3 ChromeBooks enjoy currently so much popularity, it seems Samsung is certainly not in a rush to release its successor, yet a similar priced new ChromeBook with such high resolution will no doubt bring along a great number of new customers for the Korean titan.
