Remember not too long ago aircon and electric windowsJanuary 27, 2022, 8:51 am Remember not too long ago aircon and electric windows used to be an optional extra, now we just kinda expect a car to have these things...what features do you think are extras now but are gonna become the norm in a few years time? Reverse camera, parking sensors and blind spot detection. Reverse cameras, parking sensors, blind spot monitor, Bluetooth connectivity, electronically foldable mirrors and so much more Parking assist, lane assist and other HI tech features Android auto/Apple Carplay Parking sensors But true, a lot of people fear not having absolute control over their cars, even guys who claim to be great drivers fear cruise control. As a standard feature, yeah it`s not a must, but for me, I`ll walk away from a dream car if it doesn`t have it I take the highways to work so I automatically use Cruise control. I drive with my fingers, adjusting the speed with my steering wheel controls. I found I`m fatigued a lot less while driving because I`m not straining myself over long periods of time. Adaptive cruise control + lane keep assist during peak hour traffic will change your life Forward emergency brake systems, lane depature assist, lane assist, sonar, adaptive cruise control, fatigue warnings system, adaptive headlights, auto hill assis Brilliant...lol good chirp Leather seats. Dual climate control. Keyless entry, park assist, electronic stability program, Bluetooth and more. Car dealers are lazy, the still advertise that a car has an alarm, radio and power windows. Really? Lol This tweet has me hooked I think it should be nalana South Africa Wireless capacitive charging & mirror lights for blind spot objects in your Audi (RS3, TTRS etc.). All round electric windows, auto headlights and wipers. All safety features (excluding lane keeping assist, I find that shxt annoying), rear view camera(especially for SUVs & cross overs). When I tested the self driving feature, my hands were millimeters away from the steering wheel. My foot was 1 atom away from the brake pedal Ok, steering wheel vibration should be better First time I used the lane keeping assist I got terrified when I changed the lane without indicating, the car steered on its own and was fighting it. I since deactivated it The tech features such as android auto, PDC and cameras Cruise control, lane keep assist and digital instrument clusters Parking sensors and an infotainment system with Android/CarPlay. Driving my mom`s Volvo XC40, she`s way more trusting of the self driving features than I could ever be. Lane keep saves lives. Saw a dash cam of a guy who passed out and found himself in a field. Lane keep wouldve prevented that. He`s lucky it there was no truck coming his way Safety features should never be optional extras. ESP, Blind Spot assist, lane keep assist, these must be standard. Watching car crash compilations shows you how many accidents can be avoided with these technologies |
