President Obama admits having no iPhone “for security reasons”December 10, 2013, 5:59 pm Long term tech-lovers might remember that the United States President Obama has a soft spot for BlackBerry. Indeed the President kept no secret about his preference in the Canadian maker`s offering and was actually heavily using the gadget, many times in public. Even though Apple is an American company and has a vast audience of followers around the world, the President of the country still doesn`t have an iPhone. Guess why... As the President Barack Obama himself confirmed to a group of young people, he does not have an iPhone, and most importantly he is not allowed to for security reasons. The President added that his daughters love it but didn`t go into further details as to why exactly the use of an iPhone could pose a threat to him. Barack Obama still uses his BlackBerry though and has actually fought in order to keep it! Contrary to the iPhone, the President and all of his staff are allowed to use the iPad, but only confined to the safety of the White House... |
