One UI 4 YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED Easily the best,
One UI 4 YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED Easily the best, most stable, most customisable, and the smoothest Samsung UI ever. So far, I`m impressed! And now, I`m going to answer your questions about it. Device tested: Galaxy S21 Ultra Build number: BUK8, Nov 2021 patch

But if you just use it fast then it is buggy like in the video. If you close an app fast and open another app fast, then you see that the closed app appears for some frames. It`s so annoying when using oneui 4.0

No in ios it works in recent screen.and i love that i thought it would implement in Android also.

I think this alone is enough to make me stick to One UI 3.1 with its 5-6 hours of SOT.

I would love to see more smoothness. Comparing to iPhone`s animation at 60hz and Samsung`s at 60hz, iPhone is far more smoother. This is probably because in some areas, Samsung`s animation is being cut. I guess, that was made for better performance...

*I think it is very similar to One UI 3.1.

What`s sad is that the app switcher screen has an ugly white layer, even in dark mode. It looks

Thanks. It`s still like old One UI 3. Because I still see the navigation bar change when you rotate the screen.

The way it lags when exiting and the delay between swiping up and the animation taking place is just so painful. Otherwise, a very welcome update that shouldve been done before the phone was released!

So, what do you think of One UI 4? Do you like it? Do you think that it still needs some improvements? Vote below and tell me your thoughts about it in the replies! Is it good?

Plus, I`d like to see a better consistency throughout the system, like in every part of the system. And there are probably more complaints coming weeks or months after this, but let`s see.

My wishlist for One UI 5? Wow, I really can`t think of anything. But one thing that I want them to do is to make the camera app more fluid and faster. Also, reducing the shutter lag would be appreciated. It needs some work to be as smooth as iPhone too. can make the screen turn on (kinda), by using the "Brief" pop-up style option. But that will only turn on AoD for a few seconds, not the actual screen. That`s by enabling this option (on the second picture). Volume control on lockscreen and turn screen on for every received notification On lockscreen, you can only do volume control for the media volume when you`re playing a music. Video Editor and Game Booster The built-in Video Editor inside the Gallery app is not that advanced, only for the basics. Samsung`s Game Booster is still available to download. Third party widgets animation Here you go... Skin tone change on camera I honestly haven`t seen any difference in skin tones. Edge Lighting Animations I don`t see anything new. Issues with Orientation/Auto-rotate I don`t see anything wrong here, and I hope this video helps. Have I done it correctly? Transition between 60 Hz and 120 Hz Again, I`m kinda having a trouble understanding that question, but let`s see if this answers your question. Camera Force Auto-rotate (?) I`m sorry but I`m having a trouble understanding that question, but let`s see if this is going to answer your question. Sorry for the focus hunting because the video was captured by my Poco lol. Delayed Colour palette change I`m sorry, I think I don`t have that problem. YouTube still playing in the recent apps screen Nope, it was gone as it might be a Beta bug lol. Battery Life Your mileage may vary, but I got 3.5-4 hours of Screen on Time in a single charge with my heavy usage. Worse than One UI 3.1, actually. Emoji Pairs Emoji pairs is a feature from One UI 4 Frame drops and stutters I still see frame drops, but they are nowhere near One UI 3.1 for me. Even the notification bar lags are highly reduced now, and navigating between apps and tasks is improved compared to One UI 3.1. Screen Recording Quality I can`t see any difference between the smoothness when recording the screen with One UI 3.1 and One UI 4. It is still below 60 Hz (which is around 46 Hz). I don`t know what makes them lazy to fix it. Orientation bug I made two scenarios. I enabled auto rotate for both scenarios. For my first try, I turned "Rotate to Landscape mode" off & I turned it on for my second try. Here`s the result. It does get crazy when that feature is turned on. Camera zoom smoothness Some users said that it becomes smoother, but I think it is very similar to One UI 4. Privacy Settings 1: Location Request Permission 2: Privacy Settings Dashboard 3: Details about a hardware part being used by apps 4: Permission Manager Widgets Yep, I like it... Lacks consistency though, but at least the corner radius has been unified now, I guess. Camera performance The image quality itself looks to be pretty similar when compared to One UI 3.1, but the app is smoother and more fluid to use, even though sometimes it can get sluggish, just like how it was before. when you look at the icons and even elements like this (located in the lockscreen), they look darker and at some parts of the UI, the blur effect is stronger too. The differences between dark mode and light mode is smaller now. L: One UI 3 R: One UI 4 Dark mode vs Light mode Just like what I`ve said before, dark mode on One UI 4 makes more elements in the system UI darker =========== This is the phone call interface for both dark mode and light mode, for example. addition to that, I don`t think I can see animations like the one seen on the ad, where there is a notification that has a blurred card instead of grey/white coloured card like what you can see here. Blur Effects Enjoy! honestly, if you use the phone just like how humans normally use their phones, it is going to be very, very smooth. You can`t really see that if you look at the last couple of bits in that video, but in real life, you can feel it. That`s what I can tell you.

2. Closing and opening apps rapidly with navigation gestures Much better than One UI 3.1, but still needs some work in order to make it look as good as other competitors, like Vivo, Oppo, and especially Apple. What about battery life? Is it improved compared to one ui 3.1

There`s more, but those are the ones that I can remember. Also, the haptic feedback feels more subtle now. I even like it more than my iPhone just because it is more subtle. Don`t get me wrong, iPhone probably still has one of the best vibration motors out there.

1. Haptics Basically, the haptic feedback adapts to the visual movements that you see in this video. That includes the failed fingerprint recognition, time picker, moving widgets, and the emoji movements in that Device Care app.
