Specifically on the feet thing, they slide around... I remember (im old) the 1st Jak and Daxter game`s big claim to fame was Jak`s feet stuck to the ground when walking/running. That was 20 years ago...
But interacting with plants doesnt affect gameplay. The game is huge and technically marvelous in so many other ways but oh no the bushes dont move 0/10 unplayable. R&C is a blast and the bushes literally do not matter even a little.

Imagine thinking what makes GOTY is footprints and moving plants... The art design for this game is awesome, the humor is great and it`s ACTUALLY FUN. In a plethora of over the top games that take themselves way more seriously than they deserve to, this one was super refreshing

The funny thing no one is considering is that foliage probably reacted to the player, but it was causing issues that would actually IMPACT gameplay. When they couldn`t figure out how to fix it in time they chose the lesser of the 2 evils and removed it.

People accuse you of "Blindly Hating" the game because for every intangible fern there are multiple examples of things that have extreme attention to detail in visual fidelity and other graphical aspects that have a much larger impact than the thing that is missing.
