no iPad Mini review from the verge?September 24, 2021, 7:47 am no iPad Mini review from the verge? Sadly they are trying to clamp down on that, which makes no sense. They are becoming like Apple. Thankfully of they ever block it, Android is open source so people will fork it and keep it free and open. At present anyone can sideload. But there is a scary warning. Plus Android multitask much better. Download something in the background and it will download until completed, even with the screen off. On IOS my podcasts would stop downloading as soon as I close the app or turn off the screen. Useless! E.g. I`m on Android 9 which has no gestures. I simply installed an app and bingo I now have full gestures. I run an app off github which scans all apps and blocks their trackers e.g. google analytics, facebook etc. And I run custom icons, layout and can hide/reveal the status bar 5. Real dual sim support 6. SD card support which means no expensive storage options 7. Massive variety of hardware - from small to large, to folding, to periscope lenses - all sorts. No I mean things Android software does: 1. Install apps from anywhere 2. Install powerful apps that can do amazing things 3. Add features to the OS via apps instead of waiting for OS updates 4. Ability to customise the OS in SO many ways (icons, wallpaper, fonts, widgets, gestures) A little bit but generally are always Pro Apple. Definitely not objective. They are always unfair to Android and ignore many of Android`s strengths. There are things Android does which iOS can only dream of, yet they never focus on that at all. Here you go: wow, this ipad is amazing. Apple reinvented the entire universe. We`ve never seen this before! What great value. Go buy one now!!* * the Verge gets paid handsomely by Apple to provide you with exciting reviews. |
