New York Times Magazine lead designer joins AppleJanuary 2, 2014, 6:37 pm Apple is rapidly expanding into more market sectors than ever before, and to do that hires the best talent it can get in a number of high-profile industry leaders. The latest talent to join Apple, is Arem Duplessis, the lead designer behind The New York Times Magazine. Duplessis has previously been the designer for The New York Times Magazine and will now be Apple`s new creative director. According to reports, Cupertino wants to expand the size of its marketing department, and Duplessis after holding his previous high-profile post for a good ten years, seemed like the perfect candidate to join Apple, starting this February.According to reports, Apples new marketing team might soon take over the company`s own branding efforts, instead of giving away the company`s marketing campaigns to outside agencies . Even though it is not clear what exactly Duplessis arrival might mean in practice, he is a high-roller, experienced designer, responsible for a very long time (for the marketing world) for one of the world`s most popular magazine. While we could see Duplessis touch to anything from Apples website design to those "exciting new products" Tim Cook publicly announced a few months back, there will be sure a lot of free space in Apple`s new futuristic headquarters to house not only Aram Duplessis, but also a number of other high-profile talents we predict we will see soon joining Apple. |
