My mum is asking me about a good headset
My mum is asking me about a good headset for Skype on her iPad. My first idea was AirPods which are a decent headset but also useful as normal headphones. Any tips?

Airpods. I`ve tried a lot because I was stubborn and resisted ceding to Apple. Airpods and now Airpod Pros are the best headphones I`ve had. They`re better with Apple devices, but I have an Android and still prefer them over my others.

AirPods work great with Apple devices! I like listening to music on them while doing chores (or before covid, taking the train). At the end of the day, its still Bluetooth but I think the microphone quality is perfectly satisfactory for most people.

AirPods is the right answer. Maybe even the pros, as they can function as hearing protection and aid.

AirPods are nice, but after 1.5 years of owning them, they only last about 20-30 minutes in a call. I have to do a dance of taking one out at a time to charge and then swap, sometimes several times to make it through meetings. Replacing batteries costs 1/2 of new pair.

Requirements? Plantronics 5200 for portable in loud environments Jabra Evolve2 85 for loud environments Anything else works if youre in quiet environments or dont care about the experience for the peeps you talk with

Recently got sound core q30 better connectivity than my Bose QC 35 but way more affordable

She will drop them and lose them, or at least one which is prob even more annoying. Choose wired, better sound in general, no bluetooth disconnection bullshit to deal with. I use the old classic apple wired earbuds and at my computer Sennheiser Urbanite XL

I`m very happy with the Jabra Elite 75t. I bought them to go running, but I`ve used them a lot for videocalls at work and the performance is great. Nice sound quality, decent battery duration and very comfortable for being in-ear.

This one seems well rated:
