Microsoft taking a big swing at Apple, saying appsJune 25, 2021, 9:52 am Microsoft taking a big swing at Apple, saying apps can use their own commerce engine and developers can keep 100% of the revenue on the Microsoft App Store. But if you build it and nobody shows up to buy whats 100% of 0 again ;) I mean is there actually a premium customer base on windows thats ready to pay for apps? Lmao And people still won`t care... Malware up the wazoo Well, lets see the result of this strategy. Will mic app store can perform better, cuz so far its way beyond apples More like getting people to actually use the Microsoft App Store rather than taking swings at anyone Whats a Microsoft App Store? There is a Microsoft App Store? On the surface? That team is looking up information from your drive and Google to produce because buying hotmail just wasnt enough for them This is the initial model of any new business to bring the audience. Later they will switch to commission making from same developers. Microsoft has an App Store? considering how much money Microsoft makes by licensing PC`s with the OS, and the lack of oversight... They really don`t need a cut. Big swipe, so windows 11 going to be free? Are we going to finally have one version? This is such a false equivalence the windows store is crap and they know it. If this was genuine lets see this happen on the XBOX Store What is Microsoft doing on their phones? No move necessary, its windows not macOS End game: Apple moves to allow developers to keep 100% of their revenue in the App Store. They then pivot to a new model where the App Store app becomes very difficult to navigate as a developer and devs end up looking for more. Apple then releases AppStore+ for a monthly fee. I mean, you can use third party stores and payments on Mac soyeah Good for them. The same is basically true for Android but there is almost no money to be made there. Im glad that Microsoft did this though, it makes the recent lawsuits against Apple basically useless. The cry baby developers can go to Windows now and make their Android apps. Given the fact that there is absolutely no oversight or quality control of that store its almost a crime to ask money for even using their commerce tools. They actively said that they even want Win32 Apps. This is nothing but a glorified link aggregate that will change zero. Its sad. Malware-riddled garbage, total failure in mobile, and literally the Pepsi of computing. I dont know anyone but one or two people in real life who even use windows Unless it`s a game Too bad MS has absolutely 0 presence in mobile, as their failure with the Surface Duo re-emphasized. I dont think Apple cares enough about the Mac App Store for this to bother them. Regulators, on the other hand You can then get hacked and pay a ransom via bitcoin! Microsoft the future! Big shot at Apple. No doubt they will hit back hard. Windows really just said "your move Tim" Well if they really get it to working that good, it`s a nice thing |
