Meizu MX3 becomes the World`s first smartphone offering 128Gb built-in storageNovember 19, 2013, 2:25 pm It is obvious to anyone in the industry that Chinese manufacturers mean business. Having a number of incredible advantages in their hands, including very cheap labor cost and a very wide base of specialized personnel, the Chinese hi-tech makers want to expand their customer-base and are willing to offer their gadgets with almost everything, for very little. One of the most serious contenders in this race is Meizu. The Chinese manufacturer surprised us again today with the announcement of the World`s first 128Gb built-in storage smartphone. The smartphone in question is the MX3.The gadget seems specifically designed for the Chinese market though; for the moment is only available on China Mobile . At its current version the MX3 supports TD-SCDMA bands, but the Chinese manufacturer could make a more compatible 4G version for the International market. Even if Meizu chooses to keep the MX3 in China, the gates have opened and we expect others (like Samsung) to go through and release 128Gb built-in storage smartphones as well. There is really no reason not to do that, and more so on flagship devices, since flash storage is getting lower in price by the day. |
