Last year`s iPhone 12 launch changed the Irish mobile
Last years iPhone 12 launch changed the Irish mobile market. Apple blew past Samsung and has its biggest ever lead now half the entire market. Also of note: - Huawei is slinking away - Xiaomi now 4th most popular brand in Ireland (just dont search for free Tibet on one)

Youre right! They have market dominance. Some can still dream of an entire society of Apple enthusiasts nonetheless

Without a doubt! The ecosystem of Apple Watches, Airpods (Pro), iPads and to a lesser extent, Apple TV has increased their market presence. I wonder what gains they would make if they opened a flagship Irish store and (like they do in the UK) advertised on TV and on billboards

Its an incredible statistic given Apple have no store presence nor do they advertise on television in ireland

And I think refurbished iPhone sales are not hurting. This is reach right not new phones? So iOS 15 still running on an iPhone 6 while android will update for a year of your lucky is a nice strategy.

The FE was a huge missed opportunity. But my god the s10e remains a little cracker. Emphasise *little*.

And don`t get me started about how badly Samsung missed a trick by not updating one of the best phones in *years* - the Galaxy s10e.

So they just invest so much they have to clear them? It is a funny one. Your point on naming is very apt. My wife got the Flip 3 for the sole reason that it fits in a pocket, nothing else mattered. It seems android dies in the mid range.

Partly the phone itself, but also basic branding how many ordinary people name a single Samsung (or Android) phone model? The Android folding phones, which could catch the imagination, are already bogged down with ridiculously long names (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 etc)

Y not search for Free Tibet on an Xiaomi. Both Huawei and Xiaomi are Chinese ain`t they?

Do you think this is in part because carriers push the iPhone very hard? Or people just want iPhones ?
