It is my understanding that mentioning iOS 15 isSeptember 18, 2021, 10:09 am It is my understanding that mentioning iOS 15 is allowed in your release notes, as of now, and in future mentioning an unreleased OS should not cause a problem after app submissions for that particular OS have opened. Good. It was a dumb rule. Its not like iOS 15 is some kind of well guarded secret, and developers *should* be encouraged to update their apps for it *and* advertise that fact in release notes. Wow, who would have thought submitting an app for an OS thats got a release date would need permission I feel like this comes up every year and every year the policy changes hopefully THIS is the one that sticks. Here is a reminder to everyone that app review appeals do work sometimes if you can afford to wait for the decision. They sometimes lead Apple to remove annoying rules like this one. Id love to see how they communicate these policy changes. We can sure hope so! This is still an absolute waste of time and effort. is being overly pedantic, and I think that is the most polite reading of the situation. We had this issue earlier too. A few review appeals and it was approved. YMMV. Supports the latest Apple operating systems. We were rejected for it this week, so it probably depends on the reviewer. Until next year My app with iOS 15 was even turned ready for sale already. I saw a few other apps like this as well. Heres to the crazy ones Ill believe it when I see it! Now hopefully theyll stick to this! |
