iPhone users discovering a standard feature on Android devicesSeptember 24, 2021, 7:25 am iPhone users discovering a standard feature on Android devices is always endearing. Sorry but in this case youre wrong. Promotion was an iPad feature in 2017 . Android makers are still learning how to use 120 hz properly in their devices Humor is supposed to be funny not "hAhA AndROId Did iT FIRST iPHOnE UsERs are dUMb" iPhone users discovering a much better implementation of the standard features on Android is even more endearing !! Except it wasnt really standard until last year was it? Adaptive refresh rate with better battery life is something I havent seen OnePlus or Samsung or any other android brand pull of yet Android might be first, but Apple always show how its done. Cant wait for Touch ID coming back. This will be a revolution! Never so the difference for iPad with this feature and without it. I am sure will not see on iPhone 13 as well You know at Apple and in our culture, we celebrate everything new in Apple. When you get your next iPhone, we shall celebrate with joy. They will Celebrate USB C Standard Charging in 2025 as a Breakthrough Feature `Standard` implies across the board, so the only real `standard` Android feature would be `extremely inconsistent software updates`. Lol. And 120hz display actually made its mainstream debut with the iPad Pro in 2017. I dont know one person who cares at all what android or any other phone or software brand had. But I do know iPhone users are happy its now with iPhone. Its simple really. Oh ok. Good job then Android users always noticing iPhone users. So cute Maybe you remember when Samsung made fun of Apple because they removed the headphone jack from the iPhone, just to embarrass themselves and remove it from their android phones. They-even took the commercial ads from YouTube Apple did it first with the iPad in 2017. Vlad with all due respect as I have read your content for years mainly on theverge, Apple still implements it way better and the displays are calibrated to a much higher standard than any android manufacturer while being years late to 120hz. Shots fired!! Shots fired!! Sure, Jan For sure 120Hz on Android was years ahead of iPhone, but to say its standard might be a small exaggeration? Some quick Googling and seems like its on about 50 or so phones (out of thousands). Accept only a poorly implementation of 120hz is standard and dynamic refresh switching based on both content displayed and speed of finger swipes is not. To my knowledge only one other OEM is doing both of those things and not shipping phones in volume with it either. But ok Do most android phones do the variable refresh rate thing at the OS layer? To automatically save battery? Cuz the battery on this iPhone 13 pro max is said to be a huge improvement over the 12 The amount of snark in this comment seems unnecessary. While, yes, some Android phones have 120hz, some have adaptive refresh rates, and some have both, are there really enough in the combined category to call it standard? Lets all enjoy the wonder of the devices we prefer. Other options than Apples iPhone? Never heard of them I feel the same way about Android users when. I think most of us hold ours phones a lot closer to our faces than big iPads, and theres a lot more scrolling and taping so the smoothness of the UI stands out more. I also use my phone like 8h a day VS less than 1 hour for the iPad haha. Hey I had ProMotion on my iPad since 2017 I think? |
