iPad Pro miniLED bleeding
iPad Pro miniLED bleeding. Its pretty bad.

MAKE A YOUTUBE VIDEO

The main message to Apple is: You delivered a product that is more expensive than 2020 and set expectations that do not indicate these kinds of margins - 10,000 sounds a lot, M1 processor is fast, still the execution is bothersome.

Oh no *smile in pain*

The only advice I keep giving people, since we are still not able to shop in stores (nice one eh?): Report it to Apple, each and everyone. Or, if you are lucky enough, return them to the store. The more people reporting this issue, the faster a solution is forced.

Is that the 11 or 12 inch?

Apple just go OLED yall got the cash for it. Its not like they wont make us pay for it either way. theyve rushed it into prod

ummmmmmm think about that

What about the many many YouTube tech reviews showing this being an incredible display? You must have a faulty unit

This looks like the tab I bought from AliExpress.

Yes theres gonna be bleed lmao. Its mini led. Not OLED or micro led. Theres dimming zones not pixels so sections of the screen with still have a backlit on. Holy moly this has been so blown out. Its the nature of the tech

This is a bit of an L

Ok.... pretty bad than i expected... but is it during watching HDR content or just under normal content.... that is, is it in 1600 or 600 nits???

Is it actually that bad? I`ve heard it looks way worse on photos because of the exposure it uses

This is really shocking! Definitely should not be this bad! Hopefully Apple will fix this in a software update soon!

I was just browsing to purchase it lol than I came to check Twitter for some news and you got this lol

idk in the videl of maxtech they show that its not that bad

it looks bad bc of the photo

can you show an OLED for comparison?

Maybe it`s pregnant? It`s glowing! You about to have yourself some iPad minis

Literal bleeding edge technology

Its funny how some of the people you ignored in your comments say the complete opposite. That its basically night and day from real-life.

He`s just butthurt since Apple doesn`t want to work with him and only works with MKBHD, he`s whining because Apple doesn`t sends him review units ahead of launch

I would say does it even matter but again the pro version is expensive and they should deliver their products without any defects.

this might get bad

Remember, it`s still not OLED

I saw it in person and it wasn`t THAT bad, i`m starting to think some panels bleed more than others. Hopefully they`ll fix it via software

I have checked the same and you know what .. ?? What the picture shows is what my camera is capturing.. my eyes dont see that .. I used older iPhone 5 to capture the video, you can see that on my profile .. that is what my eyes see and not this pic!! Apple is ****** brand

We should ask the same question to apple, A12z users can sleep peacefully now...

apple the most premium quality brand

But it`s not that bad. Everyone is crying how bad it is. IT`S NOT. You can`t see the blooming in person. It`s only visible when you take a photo with a smartphone. And Apple only comes out with a new innovation when it`s near perfect.

what about in bright lighting?

I guess Apple rushed the Mini led technology before it was fully developed?

Hah, its not true this looks as bad as on attached images Yeah I call bull, weve got a demo set up at work and its nothing like this

Apple`s gonna recall every single 12,9" 2021 iPad Pros lol

Tbh with 10k LEDs they can do much better

Can you compare that with the led?

I saw max tech`s video about it it didn`t seem so bad

jesus thats bad... how noticable/bad is it if you expose the buttons correctly?

I think apple has a very passive local dimming. They try negotiate bleeding in some scenarios which makes it really bad in others

How did they not notice it in development?

Thank goodness I had bought an 2020 model a month earlier and was regretting it until now

Its only that bad in a dark room if you turn the brightness all the way up though.

Think gonna settle with AMOLED

I think try to take the same image from a DSLR camera. Bcoz phones tend to make it even worse

I always knew 1st gen product of any brand is most unrefined, but this looks BAD! So bad that the previous LCD iPad Pro seems better. Sad.

Is it better than the normal LCD tho?

Its your iPhone which amplified the blooming .. try to shoot with professional camera.

Why am I only seeing it in certain apps? Im not getting it in apps that have very similar color schemes, and then other apps the bleed is highly noticeable. I get it in almost nothing from Apple. Is it possible this isnt purely some hardware quality control issue?

I have tried to get mine to reproduce some of the blooming Ive seen in photos and cant. I have to say I think this display is amazing.

So apple developers really looked at this screen and thought it was a good idea to allow it into production lol it looks awful

That is so exaggerated by the photo. I have mine right here on full brightness with a similar 4K 60fps video. Absolutely nothing like this. If I take a photo it exaggerates it - but while Im watching, its no where near this bullshit.

Visible in daylight or only darker situations?

Its a feature... U noob... When apple do something... They must have thought of something...

That isnt bad, THAT IS AWFUL! I am NOT buying the new iPad Pro.

It looks like to me like there needs to be a software tweak somewhere. Apples own apps are a little better but still not perfect. The zones seemed activated way out from where they need to be. I wonder if having the display render a drop shadow causes the zones to activate too?

Im definitely not picking one up yet i cant wait till later

Its super exaggerated if taken with a smartphone camera

Thats what your phone camera sees, the human eye doesnt see that, or at least not that extreme

Apple will definitely fix this issue. But it hurts for the price it costs.

Lets see micro led hows gonna be

How are u gonna defend them now?!

U got hella apple fans crying

You sure you`re not holding it wrong?

Ive seen that exact video from another display and no it does not bleed that worst. Yes thats kind of a big deal tho

Does it happen on other apps? Ive only seen pictures of the bleeding on the YouTube app

so... a display downgrade?

That crapple quality

I own 12 Pro Max moving from Note 10+ 5G & find it utterly lacking in almost every area compared against an older phone. Not an Apple hater but these products are overpriced to sucker people in with billions in advertisingand the consumer pays for it!

Im starting to think that there are a lot of defective units because some reviewers have shown that its not even close to that bad.

This is why Ive holding off on upgrading that halo effect is so distracting to me that its not worth me upgrading from the last generation iPad

You must have a faulty one. Mine looks nothing like that.

Can you do a video on it and also get footage using a camera rather than smartphone? I`m hearing/watching a lot of stuff ranging from very minimal to "unusable"

It maximum brightness right?

Are you sure is the display and not YouTube? Can you post some pictures in other apps or maybe the subtitles in a movie, please?

Thanks for showing this. My sister bought one gonna be looking out for this.

At least it`s got privacy, if you really care about that.

Oof its not that bad for me.

Ive been using mine since the launch day. No, its NOT noticeable. Of course, if you use way higher brightness than the auto level, you might notice more than I do. But I dont like to blind myself, and with auto-brightness I cant see blooming even if I look for it.

Weird, my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 exhibits no such thing.

I don`t understand some people say it`s okay but you seem to say it`s really bad. Did you take photos of it with a pro grade camera ??

Is it permanently like this?

Nice camera work to blow this out of proportion!

Thats pretty rough. I would have expected better too

Apple should add a FALD off setting for those that aren`t used to FALD. This is all perfectly normal with FALD. Sony, LG, Vizio TCL, all have this `issue` with FALD of various sizes ( zones ) but when consuming content, it disappears.

Dude, stop posting over exposed pics taken from the phone. I have one and its not this bad at all. If it was this visible, why didnt you notice while reviewing it? To the naked eyes, you can only notice this at full brightness in a completely dark room.

Not 10,000 but 2,500 dimming zones. You can expect blooming unfortunately

Oh wow! That looks terrible! And is what I feared!

The iPad is the one on the left...

seems like boosted the exposing and set the brightness to max tho That`s terrible. How does this pass quality control?

We need more Tech Reviewers who aren`t afraid of calling a spade a spade.

isnt that just the glare from your camera?

check this out !

How do you always get these issues

All this mini led and micro led is gonna replace OLED. Ehhhh maybe in 5 years

Wow Daniel, as much as i love Apple products and software i cant live with that, are you gonna return it?

Dudes with the OLED Galaxy Tabs are like: Yikes.. clearly a deal breaker for me

Kinda expected for a first gen product. Although they did have this on the top of the line display, that had a mant more LEDs

Does it look this bad in real life?

Never buy apples first gen anything

Its not OLED, what did you expect?

Front on angle. Still bad. Is this a defect or the way the panel just works normally?
