I`d consider this an ad

I`d consider this an ad
I`d consider this an ad. Lots of companies advertise in their stock apps and it`s not ok.

If you look at the bigger picture, it`s even worse NO NEED TO FLEX.. There are ads on App Store too. Heck in my opinion Play Store is miles ahead of App Store but that`s just my opinion. Some people say App Store is better but I highly disagree. Every shit is paid and overall design is not very functional.

This stuff is confusing. Samsung has actual ads like ACTUAL ads, advertising for like cars or random stuff on the internet to purchase which is not ok. Apple offers a tutorial on how/where you can use a feature. I dont see how its considered an ad. /1

Apple just makes their ads look like they arent ads. when your iCloud storage is full, instead of prompting you to clear up some space it only gives you the option to buy more space, with no way to permanently hide this notification. Your on the wallet app. Of course its going to tell you what things you can do with it

Aint got nothing on me. I use Soulja Boys cryptocurrency

Apple does ads so well, that even when theyre giving me an ad, I dont know it half the time

How is this an advertisement, the only part that you could maybe consider an advertisement is the Apple card, but theyre obviously not going to use another banks credit card, The whole point is to notify you that if you write on the subway, you can use Apple Pay now

Those .07 cents on the starbucks card are painful

Why do Apple users call this nit picking but call Samsung out on theirs, I have personally not gotten many ads on my s10+ just 5 times total, so I could call it nit picking like apple users do or whats the difference? Is it because they are ads of apple?

Real adds are way worse

I bet I`ll see you with the black card soon

In iceland I may not be able to trade on phones...but I never get any adds. Ever.

Its literally describing what you can do, within that app... its hardly an ad as youve already got the product.

As far as the ads are not intrusive I don`t mind.

Ya putting the badge on the icon is bad. Also, its just a bad ad.

In this Apple wallet case how would people find out

True but you`re knit-picking at this point I honestly don`t see the problem with it but go ahead and go off and overreact I would be upset if every time you used apple pay it would show you an ad. But go ahead and go off and overreact

Geez, do you guys not know how to turn off marketing, I see no ads

Bit of a stretch in my opinion, as it`s not really advertising anything (e.g., it`s not saying "Ride the MTA Subway using Apple Pay", MTA being the main product), and more so demonstrating where Apple Pay can be used. Plus Apple Pay doesn`t make Apple any profit.

Well, Apple Pay is free, so I do not consider it as ad that much.

Well I mean it depends if it`s a one time AD like you`re never gonna see it again then it`s not an AD maybe it was just more informative than anything I 100 percent sure you`ll never see that ever again

What`s even worse with samsung is that not all countries get the ads. For example only NA and 2 countries in Asia are known to have them, but in europe, nothing. But something even more surprising than that is that not everyone from those countries get the ads. WTH Sammy

Youre reaching at this point

No need to add the I consider this. It is an ad.

And I Thought Only Xiaomi Was Doing This

Make that 50x and well agree.

This flex with the Amex gold

I honestly don`t see the issue.

Even OnePlus It`s Apple, so most won`t dare mention it

I mean... it`s an "ad" for the city`s new tap-to-pay system on the subway, i think that`s pretty handy to know about

Apple does it, but so does Samsung and Samsung`s is like 5x worse.

I mean I guess its an ad for using Apple Pay, in the Apple Wallet app? I kinda feel like if youre in Wallet, you know you can use Apple Pay.

Id categorize it as tips and tricks but your point still stands
