Hyundai, Kia to offer Android-based in-car systems by next year

Android is the Windows of our times? After conquering smartphones, tablets and making its entry on notebooks, now Android seems ready to conquer car systems as well.
According to a report by Korea`s ETNews Hyundai and Kia Motors are already working on the Android platform, planning to bringing it to all of their cars as soon as 2014. 
Interestingly, it looks like Kia`s Android-based in-car AVN system, UVO 2.0, will comes with an app store of its own! It will connect to smartphones running not just Android but also iOS and will be used for multimedia use.
The Android-based UVO 2.0 will begin to ship with Kia Soul and the Hyundai Genesis which are expected to come out in later this year.
