How much RAM do you think is more than enough for a smartphone?

4 or 6 gb for iphone

I have 8 GB RAM in my phone

8GB is more than enough. I consider it as the sweet spot

for my iPad its 4GB. Its just smooth to be enough but, I noticed lots of bugs while multitasking and switching between apps

Depends on the OS, symbian ran well on 512k

8GB Currently using 1GB vala Chrome crashes badly so need 6-8 GB RAM atleast for modern apps

More than Enough would be 8GB. Future Proof. stufflistingsarmy

I think the OS developer could answer it better. End user can just give perspective

Entry 4GB Mid 6GB Flagship 8GB bare minimum for android smartphones.

Using an 12 gb phone never gone beyond 7 so i think 8 is enough for kinda hard usqgz and 6 is enough for most people.

Nvme vs ufs 3.1 will get you answers

I think 32gb RAM minimum hona chahiye mobile me

8 is more than enough 12 is overkill for a smartphonewhat do you even need 12 GB of RAM for??? Run every version of Windows on virtualization?

How much more If 6gb is enough for normal task Then 8 gb,12gb,16gb etc are obviously more than enough

3GB is enough for smartphone. They have to provide the best combination between processor and operating system.

Beats Me, and All Ears

16 or 18gb is definitely a lot, 12gb is already pretty future proof

I don`t know, if you want to run windows 11 on your phone for some stupid reason you may need 12 or 16GB ram or else I don`t see a point of getting a phone with 12 or 16GB ram on it unless you print money

6gb is so fine for me!

6 is standard,8 be the sweet spot rn.

What`s the point if miui/color os/funtouch os or other aggressively killing apps background process at a point that app not works properly miss notification or show it late, 24gb or 4gb ram all will work same

12 imo since 8 gigs is the sweet spot,no harm in having more ram tho but kinda pointless since most apps don`t really take advantage of the immense ram in some phones.

8GB. More than enough. Not gaming.

4GB or 6GB can manage if processor is good enough to maximize and use

6GB of RAM is enough for bro

8 gb for long run

More ram not equal to better performance. Optimised Ram and operating system is equal to better performance.

Depends, 128MB 15 years ago was more than enough. The limit of 64bit is 16 Exabytes so we have time until we reach that one

8 for android 6 for ios

The amount the operating system, the applications and the interface needs

12 GB is more than enough

6-8 Gigs are more than enough. Idk why there are companies advertising smartphones with more RAM than laptops.

Now a days its become 6 GB. 4 GB RAM phones are now hanging.

6 gb should be minimum for smooth experience. But you should get 8gb for future proofing.

That depends on type of Operating System

6gb of ram is more than enough

8gb is just right 16gb is over the top and 12 is more than enough

8 GB is fine for any type of use... if not using for gaming then 6 GB is fine

12gb for android, 6-8gb for ios. i sure hope the new ram management of android 13 will get it to 8gb again because on android 12, even 8gb phones close apps

Infinite (), I guess!

How much ever they stuff in little space

for normal task 4 gb is enough

Depends on customization level and OS Iphones need little while androids need alot

6GB. I don`t play games.

6gb atleast. But i would say that 8gb is actually more than enough. And most people buy higher phones for ROM and not ram.

It`s basically depends on optimisation, apple with 4Gb kills everything where in Android 8Gb lags

8 is good. Anything less can be a struggle.

8 gigs but if want to go all out then 16

For Android minimum of 6GB..that too they would be sluggish after couple of updates...so may be 8GB would do..

Am using 4gb still enough

If iPhone then 4gb and Android 12gb par (jitna bhi dalo lag kar na inki aadat hai )

I think 8gb more than enough

8gb is comfortable

6 or 8 no problem

I`ve 8 which i think is more than enough for my daily tasks , it also depends on what type of stuff you gon do

No matter how much it may be, there is always room for more. Thats why we are building Mandir.

It entirely depends on how the system manages it but to my surprise while being fine my 6Gb of RAM Pixel 4a isn`t exactly perfect when it comes to resuming apps especially after a few minutes from last usage. I`d say the bar has unfortunately become even higher at 8Gb on Android

8GB is sufficient

smartphones needs best optimisation techniques to reduce Ram consumption. It doesnt require lots of ram..

8gb ram is enough
