honestly, if they brought back the jack, i would probably consider the start migrating or hybridizing with Apple products. I`ve been an Android user since 2010 roughly. but, eventually, change is sometimes a good thing... when a headphone/aux jack is included.

I love how fantastic airdrop is but if the headphone jack doesn`t come back I won`t get a new iphone when my 6 is done. I`ve seen how much of a pain it is for other musicians (forgetting dongle). All I want is the option.

i can unfortunately hear the difference in audio quality between bluetooth and 3.5mm headphones and thats why im sticking with my iphone xs + dongle for as long as possible. i refuse to switch to bluetooth for audio
Alternative idea: make the notch BIGGER, sticking out from the phone. Put the headphone jack in it, and market it as "also a beer opener"

I got a Sony xperia bc it has a headphone jack AND external storage. Came with a bonus of having a plastic back so I don`t worry when I drop it down my stairs or knock it off my desk onto my hardwood floor.

Screw the jack, its gone. Just dont lose the lightning too and go full wireless. It will be the end of the iPhone, as a camera platform.
IMHO the notch is very bad design, probably the second worst just right after the charging port on the magic mouse. As long as there is a notch, I won`t get an iPhone again. It`s good to be free of the ecosystem prison anyway.
Switched to Android a few years back. Samsung now ditched the headphone jack too, that`s why I fixed the S10 broken screen for 1/2 of the price of a S20 instead. Whoever makes a phone with 3.5mm jack will get my $ when the S10 needs a replacement.
