Feels like people have fallen away from Apple ArcadeJune 26, 2022, 10:34 pm Feels like people have fallen away from Apple Arcade a bit. Kind of sad that Yu Suzuki has a new game out and no ones talking about it I check it out here and there if there is a title I`m interested in but honestly it feels like Apple does very little to promote it even Ive hit it . Theres lots of great stuff on Apple Arcade. Grindstone is one of the best games in recent years. I`d love to know whats going on at AA. For awhile they just buying up F2P games, making them premium but not adjusting the game economies. They were still a slog, you just couldn`t pay to get out of it. I only jumped onto Apple Arcade recently (was Android for years and only switched back to Apple a few months ago). Still catching up with Fantasian, etc but have this downloaded and will definitely get stuck in when my outstanding reviews are done. Agreed that it`s being ignored It is a shame, there`s some great games on there. I still play Mini Motorways and Grindstone etc. I bet there`ll be some connection with their AR/VR headset in the future, and I can imagine AAA games coming eventually (their push for Village at WWDC for example?) Only thing stopping me is the Apple Arcade factor. (I`ve an ancient android phone.) I`d be all over it otherwise. saw this on the arcade and thought of you. I assumed it was a panzer knock off, but apparently its the real thing! Maybe also telling that despite reading the 20+ replies to this tweet I still dont know what the game is called! Im talking about it! I even streamed it on Friday night. Not yet! It`s on the list though. We covered it, the numbers were abysmal. We could have randomly talked about Outrun and get 10x the impact. But I guess we are firmly in the traditional side of the videogames coverage. Our readership doesnt care much for mobile gaming. But it`s not a game parodying Queen. It`s just ripping it off in a very cheap elevator music kind of way. Don`t get it. At all. I simply don`t have an iPhone. \_()_/ Ooh, may have to re-sub for this Known about it since annoucement, but to cover would be a waste of time at our place. Wrong crowd by a wide margin. Didn`t really feel like people cared for Arcade much in the first place, which is a shame. I have it with Apple One, but as someone who checked it regularly when it started I barely look now :/ Wanted to try this when announced but just not had a chance yet I really like the game itself and feel that SEGA should have re-released Panzer Dragoon as an (early) Apple Arcade game with the same control scheme. However, the music is an insult. i try Im still processing, but I was shocked that I didnt hear anything about it. Im still an arcade fan, but the problem is that mainstream devs only are interested in developing for mobile in order to exploit the F2P model so it will never get the same traction as game pass Dunno if there`s a strong crossover between Yu Suzuki fans and mobile gamers. Anecdotally, not many people I know seem to have iPhones. |
