Everything I read so says that it`s fine toJune 9, 2021, 1:16 pm Everything I read so says that its fine to run iOS 15 and Monterey as main OS. Must stay strong and keep my wait-till-b2 rule Update iPad to 15 but haven`t seen new features yet. Everything except watch is on beta right now, 1-2 apps crashing but they are old gov apps so not a problem For iOS I would wait since some apps rely on security & hardening features to reject unknown software releases (like the beta). Banking apps will mostly not work and you cant get a TAN. Keep in mind! I do one thing that could be a little risky, keep my Desktop and Libraries in iCloud, login with the same identity and can work on same documents. But true, more more indeed. Ive happily adopted a dual-release model whereby I run the bleeding edge on a second APFS volume then can boot up either one anytime, flawless so far. Im seeing external monitor graphics glitches on my m1 MBA on Big Sur too, so that isnt necessarily limited to Monterey Sign in with Google framework I just installed it on a new APFS volume for me, running any project from xcode 12.5 or 13 on the iOS 15 b1 device is taking around a minute (usb) and 2 minutes (wifi). this didn`t happen on iOS 14 Is it bargain state of acceptance? :D Safari has been crashing frequently for me on iPadOS 15. Can`t speak for everyone tho. SO Hard to resist right now Like 1 second. Nothing can truly save you from Twitter! On my iPad Pro 10,5, Safari crashes as soon as the addressbar becomes th first responder. So no webbrowsing for now but opening links iOS beta is great so far. No apps I need for work, make at work, or use for my life have any major issues (last year was a different story) Twitter sometimes crashes on launch/resume but opens next time. FaceTime got glitchy once and the Memoji face stuff stopped working. Sorry, thats the best I can do. :) I do notice the huge battery drain on iPadOS, though. Or maybe thats because of watching WWDC sessions.. Im seeing some graphics glitches on my m1 mba on Monterey. Screen sharing starts looking like I just won solitaire after a little bit. do you use Xcode in Rosetta mode? I think tweeted that Xcode in Rosetta doesn`t work on Monterey I must wait, because some of our projects don`t yet compile on Xc13. And I`ll only have a second device on June 18th :( This is probably not what you want to hear but Ive been running beta on on my iPhone, iPad and Mac since Monday. No big issues so far I am going to try this on my Intel Mac mini with I just linked to that because it`s the first result when searching for "macOS Monterey QEMU". I`ve read about and seen crashes in videos about Monterey. I think I`ll try installing it in a VM tonight. This is not gonna help buuut Im running b1 without any issues |
