Okay Im not entirely smart gamer but wtf is killzone Ive seen people idiotically compare it to halo and people saying its a dead franchise and Ive never heard of it was it a PlayStation exclusive fps that failed? What was it?
A PS exclusive series of sci-fi shooters made to oppose Halo. It had some good ones, but is dead due to the more recent games being boring, or with terrible enemy ai. The last one made was in 2013 I think. The series is dead now

Dunno about masterpiece but the gameplay and the guns allowed it to sort of stand up on its own. Plus the campaign was really neat with stuff like All Ghilie`d Up and the introduction of Captain Price.
Call of duty was only mildly successful until CoD 4 came out, too.
CoD aside, historically any game that claims to be a franchise killer will mostly fail in the long run.
If anything it just tells me there is no creativity going into said killer.
Yep. Originally it was about planet of humans who were basically nazis going to war to take planet used to own back from other humans. Game flopped hard after I think it mainline game because just wasnt well written and half cool stuff was dropped for generic stuff
