Dev: Next-Gen Features Have to Be Fitted to XSSJanuary 31, 2021, 7:45 am Dev: Next-Gen Features Have to Be Fitted to XSS Memory; It Would Have Been Much Easier with XSX Only This is really bad clickbait. I always thought it was just the GPU that was slower in the XSS. Never thought that they would reduce the ram. Having built and updated my old PC`s (not for a while), the more RAM, the better the results. That hasn`t changed has it? Yh having 4k textures and assets with 10gb of ram Vs 16gb is much harder to optimise for but they`ll work around it they always do. After reading the article this is a terrible tweet. Clickbait But but but based Spencer tells us that having a lower spec never affects what can be accomplished with the max spec! Even making all Xbox games require One support doesn`t mean games can`t take FULL advantage of XSX right? RIGHT?!?! The series s is a very wel designed machine for somebody who want to be in gaming on a budget. Its not holding back anything. So "Dev: Next-Gen Features Have to Be Fitted to XSS Memory; It Would Have Been Much Easier with XSX Only" IS VERY MUCH CLICKBAIT .. BUT FFS "CLICK" & read, if you failed at reading get EDGE or CHROME to read it to you.. a 10 year old could understand the words! Reused old debunked arguments that if you read the full article not just the headlines the devs always explain what they mean. Must be quiet in clickbait land lmfao. The size of the memory that is available in the XSS is the actual determining point for the entire console generation as gameplay features have to be fitted to the lowest spec. This is exactly what he said. This is true and I dont thing anybody argues against it. Lazy devs. PCs work more than fine with XSS level hardware. Still, it doesn`t look like it will require that much work to be running well at 1080p on the XSS. The best thing about the current architecture is that the CPU power on both Xbox models is practically the same. Scaling graphical effects is a lot easier than scaling gameplay. I could make up another viewpoint: "RDNA 1.5 on PS5 holds back NextGen." PS5 is the only NextGen Platform without DX12 Ultimate support. Devs can use all the features on XSX, XSS and PC, but not on PS5. Sad. You will never see the true potential of the Series X in 1st party games or 3rd party games. Sony 1st party games will most likely look and play better. Sony doesn`t have to worry about low spec, they can just program full bore! 10GB is more than enough RAM. Plus you can stream assets from the SSD into RAM at 2.5 GB/sec. Ive played COD: Cold War on a Series S and it looks and plays extremely well. 60 FPS rock solid. Kudos to people who started bashing the series S without reading the full article. They look stupid now. "From the point of view of a developer it would be much easier if there was a single XSX SKU, but given the circumstances I think that Microsoft has made good choices in how to create a much cheaper console, that can still run next-generation games." So, they can`t take out the time to work on XSS when they know a cheap console helps skyrocket the population in online lobbies, helps more people get into the games and pull way more sales revenue? That`s just being lazy. Read the article and then make an opinion. Console warriors never learn, you are only looking for ammunition for your daily twitter battle. Im guessing the potential problem with this is devs forced to work with the Series S as the dumbed down, lowest common denominator & that could c0ckbl0ck upcoming games meant for both XB consoles & PC. Can someone more tech savvy explain? the memory is the limiting factor for games lol so much for that ps5 ssd huh I guess Hit man 3 in Native 4K was held back back the series S Hey jorno... reading what you wrote would help you - but I guess spreading drama is easier than telling the whole story , uh? A lot of fanboys kept telling us the Series S and last gen games wont hold back new gen You need to tell your audience they need to read the actual article or dumb it down for them. Your Playstation fans think the SS is holding back the XS and its not. Jesus Christ people either cant read or are focusing too much on console wars but you said. The only thing that Xbox leads in is disappointments. NEVERSTOP I am shocked..... "The Riftbreaker for the Xbox Series X and it "just works", the XSS requires additional optimization. Still, it doesn`t look like it will require that much work to be running well at 1080p on the XSS." This group is tired So Series S is holding back next gen. Nice Thanks a lot for crippling our games fill. Please discontinue this trash. It a big mistake. Phil was lying again huh? Lol Nice out of context clickbait title Bu bu but the scaling!! Since that day, SX goes to 8gb 224gbps ... but but but scaling! They pretty much held back the next gen cross game market...bravisimo! The size of the memory that is available in the XSS is the actual determining point for the entire console generation as gameplay features have to be fitted to the lowest spec. - that hurts Theres multiple other credible Devs with the same sentiments Thoughts? Seems no one actually read this article judging by the comments, you all look rather silly right now Xbots were really comparing ps5 with series s..... And some Xbox fans tried to make people think XSS would compete/win against PS5... delusionals But Phill is gonna say, you dont have problema with pc because he is a joke in this industry Wow lol there it is folks. Thanks alot MS for ruining multiplats. Doubt I`ll be buying very many multiplats this gen now. |
