Id argue the notch is less distracting than a dot smack in the middle of Samsung phones. Almost looks like an oversized dead pixel while the notch is incorporated into the design.
Uh, from 7.4mm to 7.5mm. An unnoticeable difference for a better camera.
We just mentioned hardware/design things, though. Not software. iOS has been mostly stagnant for years but this new model actually brings some solid design upgrades.

I never care about what phone I get, but I like my Galaxy note since it provides a stylus that I can use for drawing. Gonna probably get something similar in the future.
this was my first one plus phone, got recommended them from my roommate when I needed a new one. before this I had samsung.
You can download a different launcher like Nova on Android that changes the whole look and makes things a lot smoother.
Barely thicker.. Quarter of a millimeter, not that different. And samsung doesn`t suck
