Best meditation app you are using with yourself, athletesJanuary 21, 2021, 1:57 am Best meditation app you are using with yourself, athletes and clients? If you arent using one, why? Which method yields best compliance and long term results? My favorite exercise comes from the book "Psycho Cybernetics" that combines progressive relaxation and custom visualization. You increase buy in by having players create their own unique game scenarios. Also has a lasting effect on central nervous system. I`m a fan of HeadSpace. Two really useful apps are Belly Bio ( only iOS ) which combines breathing and sounds which synchronise using the gyroscope on ur phone . Also Brainwave which combines Binaural tones with various wavelike sounds. Successful organismic transformation and relearning. When you introduce a lot of top-down processing, you get resources in your brain to compete for access. Try human basic position. Only here real restoration possible. That`s where the human physiology=feeling, meditates and restores its functionality. Already meditation is idiotic enough . No need for an app. There`s a lot more to mental skills than just meditation. Try Calm. Nice interface, many options reasonably priced. Wim Hof Method App. Ive subscribed to the power of breath and that why I make it a habit. Educating athletes probably results in the best compliance. Meditative Story works well for me personally in my daily commute. Ive recently picked up the Enchanted Wave EEG headband that Ill be using as feedback in meditation sessions with individual clients. I logged over 8500 minutes on insight timer and then felt like I owed them some money. By far the most diverse on the market for free. Ive also used FitMind which is a great tool for beginners. Meditation is a skill. You have to put the work in and find the right genre. No app. I attend guided breathwork sessions twice a week from Chuck McGee (wim hof). The rest is unplugged. Don`t want tech fouling up the process. Until now the 3 first audios from the book Art of meditation (Daniel Goleman) is the best entrance for my athletes.. The approach that resonates most with the athlete that they are ready to adopt. That could be app supported or not. Kabat-Zinns Wherever You Go There You Are opens up hows and options understanding well. I actually encourage app free approach, unplug and focus on breath work, process needs to be intrinsic. If they need it and are new to Ill suggest some guided audio, until its not needed. Sam Harris Waking Up I use Headspace. I feel like not relying on an app would yield best compliance, but having the app kinda gamifies it for me by trying to keep my streak going. Same with Duolingo. Not sure I`d keep at `learning Spanish` if I had to go home and study a textbook. |
