Apple Wallet AppJuly 5, 2022, 10:53 pm Apple Wallet App Does anyone else feel that Apples Wallet app if fast moving up there with iMessage for iPhone lock in? Back in the Passbook days I hardly used it, but now its one of the most used apps on my iPhone. Paypal does all the card and cash functions and car key is also coming for Android. So again, none of that is keeping people on the iPhone unless you don`t know much about anything but apple. And yes, you can easily continuing making payments on the apple card without an iPhone. Yup, ESPECIALLY Apple Card lol It`s not a lock in when other platforms have the same thing and there is nothing holding you in to use apples version. Bring Apple Pay to India! Why would it be an iphone lock-in when samsung wallet does the same thing, or Google pay better Ive been waiting for this for so long. Apple Card will make life so convenient as I can just throw all my expenses on it and pay it off each month regardless of my current current account. Plus Daily Cash. I really hope Daily Cash is decent here. Its a relic from when my Apple ID was set to US. I cant get rid of it anymore. Can relate. Would love the driving license feature here in the UK. Im very happy with my debit/credit card integrations with Apple Pay so the Apple Card while nice to have, isnt top of my list. @DanRoger5 Also both Monzo and Revolut have instant notifications for payments, even in foreign currencies. Theyre great for keeping track of your spending So you are transferring money into foreign currency every month? Fingers crossed you guys get it over there. I literally pay for everything on it and pay it off at the end of the month. And when Im home it instantly tells me what I just paid in $. Its great. No charge. Theres no other good option to sync across my watch, car, computer, etc. @DanRoger5 Although the UK was first after the US to get ApplePay, and Apple did buy that UK credit form Credit Kudos recently, so Im hopeful of a launch here fairly soon So you use it as a savings account for when you go to them countries? So you have local currency? Are you constantly adding to them? Or only when you know you are going? How often are you buying and selling in the US? I just pay for everything with my Apple Card when Im home. @DanRoger5 And indeed you can Pretty sure you can get Revolut in the US, its based in the UK, but has operations in many countries Ahhh ok. So Revolt does multi national cards? Ive never heard of them. Every time you get paid you put money into these foreign accounts? Would you not be better off just using a credit card? Are they credit cards? Or just bank accounts? Like savings accounts? Isnt Monzo your bank? What is Revolt and why do you have so many? Why you got 3 revolut cards?? With new developments like CarKey, Hotel keys, Apple buy now pay later, and (US only)AppleCard its sure to become even more important to our daily lives in the future. Alongside ApplePay (which I use for pretty much all payments these days) it holds my loyalty cards, train tickets, flight tickets, Event tickets or passes, coffee subscription, even Covid vaccination records |
