Apple could remove about half the notch with currentJanuary 27, 2021, 8:05 pm Apple could remove about half the notch with current perfected tech and at least 3/5 ish of the notch by next year or the year after. This shows there`s no excuse for them to have this large of a notch in 2021. And that they`re either waiting to remove it entirely or i dont know i think this is what you mean yes its the best selling android phone no it doesnt and you can also see that the iphone se with huge bezels sells better than the iphone xr or 11 pro max Which shows that people mostly care about design Well then explain to me why iPhones with huge notches sell way better than punch hole camera phones (galaxy s10,s20,s21 etc.) But they don`t have to because the average consumer does not care can you stop the whole fanboy thing? some people like apple some people like android. Microsoft lumia also has the ir projector and ir camera`s separated... Samsung had it too on the s8. There`s a reason the dot projector is far away from the ir camera... My theory: When you see a punch hole phone, we know it is and Android but specifically not which one... but when you see this notch, YOU SURELY KNOW IT IS AN IPHONE? funny how the S21 does not even have a noticeable, and the iPhone has 3,000 mile notch is way too long, they need to cut it, the current notch is taking 1/2 of the screen already Well I have the 8 pro and there`s not many issues at all imo, sometimes when swiping it can have a wrong touch but most of the time nothing wrong But now that Apple dropped LG as a display maker and will be solely working with Samsung, anything is possible Didnt the latest leaks state they were going to reduce the size of the notch this year? As well as incorporate 120hz. Supposedly they were working on a fingerprint scanner as well, though it was unclear if it is going to be under the display or in the power button. was there like no difference between s8 and s9? the difference is night and day They`re definitely waiting to remove it completely Ios14 has been alright apart from 14.3 when all of the apps kept crashing for no reason actually the bigger issue might have been that i kept tapping the back button i love the look of no notch but idk why smaller notch feels uncomfortalbe to me for some reason Yeah ya its pretty bad Tbh I can notice it but it`s negligible, I`d still buy an 11 pro max over a 12 pro max my s7 is the flat one but i still had issues with accidental touch was fine on the s5 tho 14 has been pretty good on my SE 1 and 7 apart from the last update 14.3 I think which just had some weird issues with crashing on both phones. I meant just in general phones get older as time goes on. However iOS 11 was a buggy mess that had so many issues they released iOS 12 which was pretty much just a massive bugfix lol. . Actually OnePlus is pretty good, I know from experience lol. Yeah same, and I could see it.... Yeah well as a phone gets older it gets slower there`s not much you can do to change that. happened on the s7 as well but not as much fkn curved screen i didn`t realize it had a curved screen until after i bought it lol Please check your eyes then, thats concerning iOS 14 or 13 is a hell of a lot better than 12 or 11 na they`re still pretty big maybe accidental touch protection? i keep tapping the screen by accident on this oneplus android ah yes adding features other OSes had before is stealing. Definition of stealing for you: take (another person`s property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it They`re stolen from android yes but I`d rather have the features despite them being stolen than not have them at all I hope they will, but it`s Apple yk To be fair iOS is soooo much better than 12 or 11 but most of the features are from android which I don`t mind I`d rather them than not Its smaller It will stay like that until they completely remove it, you should know at this point how Apple does things. Just how companies in general work and ESPECIALLY apple Stealing from other companies excuse me what? I`d say it`s possible but very unlikely on the z fold 3 . *m1* **ahem** *software* **ahem** *a<> series ships* **ahem** Idk at least its not as thick as the SE Tbh I really want to see apple`s take on foldables They would probably shrink the notch this year according to EAP. They dont need to remove the notch. There you go, its justified. Its a functioning phone with a notch, nothing wrong with it. Can it be smaller? Yes. Should it be smaller? Probably. Are they required to remove it? No. It`ll be in the oneplus 10 then the Z fold 4 then iPhone 20 lol They are smaller...... Well it depends if they make a foldable they might invest in that instead Underdisplay will probably work fine next year Tbh they could do a massive leap like from the 7 to the X Eh given how quickly things like holepunch cameras and underscreen fingerprint scanners improved I think its possible. Tbh I think they`ll remove it next year UNUSED SPACE ambient light sensor is vital if you use true tone Yeah, I think theyre the same as the 11 Pro. And the XS. And the X.... Ofc yeah, I was just attacking the bezels I wouldn`t be surprised if in a couple of years (3+) they`ll remove it entirely and end the notch. What I`ll be surprised in though is if they reduce it before removing it (or make it a punch hole), because they could`ve done that much earlier also the proximity sensor Heck, theres enough space in the bezels for a mic and speaker with the current bezels Absolutely agree! I have a suspicion tho that they are intentionally waiting for when profits are down to release it and bump up all sales.... Just my guess tho. Also probably perfecting the tech and trying not to bump the price too much. what else they could be waiting on. But to those who justify the notch`s size, there`s no reason to. You can`t. The sensors take MUCH less space than you think. |
