A smartphone is a computer you idiots. In most cases it`s the only one people can afford. It`s the device which allowed a lot of low income families to provide home schooling to their children during covid. I know three of them Tax the ones above 300 dollars not the ones below
Why not Govt introduce teleschool basic device, we need inovative Ideas for education in remote areas or Adult learning or Maybe homeschooling,
Wild idea: Exempt software houses registered with / PASHA so those who need phones for development get them in better rates. People will register who want to take the benefit and those orgs will actually be put to some use.
On current tax rate give us free mobile insurance or stop snatching of phones.

I complete agree. It must be affordable for everybody. It I dont agree that we should tax a phone above 300 dollars and tax to literally block their import. We will collect more tax by developing apps like Facebook and twitter. Facilitate not restrict our youth
Why tax the ones above 300 dollars. Take sales tax but dont tax for the purpose of stopping import of phones. iOS occupies minimum 15% in just phones. Dont we want our developers to develop apps for IOS? We are making a blunder by introducing anti iOS policies inadvertently.
I think the tax collection would reduce due to this recent increase. Instead of paying 70k tax one can easily get 30k second phone. Use it for calls and hotspot it for internet. I know at least 10 people in my circle who are already doing this.
