5 iPhone Racing Games worth checking outJune 16, 2012, 9:37 am Starting this week, we`re introducing our iPhone app countdown by looking at 5 iPhone apps that we believe are worth your attention. So today`s theme is a familiar one: Racing games. Racing games are a definite must in a modern handheld device app library. Their usually addictive game play have a similar affect on all ages, whether for your self pleasure or to occupy your high maintenance and minimal attention span nephew, the games guarantee hours of mindless - but great fun - entertainment. We tried to look at various types of racing games and came up with the following selection so we hope you like it: 5th place: Forever Drive Rating: 3/5 Price: Free Developers: Supermono Limited For those of you have come across Wipeout HD on Sony`s Playstation 3 may be familiar with the amazing Zone mode which is an endless racing mode with colourful visuals where the driver is constantly accelerating until he sustains too much damage from hitting walls and explodes. Forever Drive is similar to this in the way that the main gamepla y consists of driving through vibrant tracks in a survival like manner.READ FULL REVIEW>> 4th place: DrawRace 2 Rating: 3.5/5 Developers: RedLynx Price: £0.69 Unlike many other top down racers in the app store, DrawRace 2 features a unique form of gameplay, as the name suggests the way to drive your car is to draw it`s path before the race starts and then watch it perform on it`s given path with the player able to use nitro on the car as it`s driving. Most free iPhone apps bombard the player with adverts or a watered down `lite` version, it is very rare to find a fully fledged iPhone game for free, especially a good one. The game is simple to pick up, it is essentially a casual racing game which features cars racing in a miniature, remote controlled style.READ FULL REVIEW>> 2nd place: Reckless Getaway Rating: 4/5 Price: £0.69 Developers: Pixelbit Link: Reckless Getaway is a unique racing game in the sense that the main events don`t consist of racing against X amount of opponents battling each other to reach the finish line first, it`s actually more of a survival racing game where getting to the end of the level in one piece is the objective.READ FULL REVIEW>> 1st place: Death RallyRating 4.9/5 Price: £0.69 Developers: Remedy Entertainment Ltd Death Rally is another great top down racer that can be found within the app store, but unlike other racers like Mini Moto Racing and DrawRace 2, Death Rally features an array of explosive weapons which can be used to eliminate your opponent from the match, these include missiles, shotgun and flamethrower, with updates being added to increase content for free.READ FULL REVIEW>> |
